Using the On-Line Banking System

Getting Started:
At the member sign on, enter your member (account) number.  Then tab down to, or click on, the password line and enter your password.

For account access you will need a personal computer with access to the Internet through a browser which allows access to secure pages (such as Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher, or Netscape Navigator 4.0 or higher).  You are responsible for the installation, maintenance and operation of your personal computer.  Bear Paw Credit Union will not be responsible for any errors or failures of any telephone service, your Internet service provider (ISP), or your computer itself nor for interruptions of service due to maintenance, updates or repairs.

You agree not to attempt to access member accounts for which you are not an authorized signer.

Security Issues:
For security reasons, it is suggested that you change your password the first time you sign on.  It is also recommended that you change your password every six months.  This can be done by going to the "More" button and then clicking on "Change Password".  When selecting a password, try to pick one you will remember but that isn't too obvious.  Do not write it down any where that it may be seen or stolen.  If you think someone may have obtained your password, change it immediately.

Be sure when you end your session with On-Line Banking to close your browser.  This prevents anyone using the browser after you from gaining access to your account by using the "Back" button.

Services Provided:
Currently, you may perform the following operations on our On-Line Banking system at no charge:
1. Check account balances and transaction history.
2. Review deposit information.
3. Transfer funds between your own accounts under the same account number.
4. Transfer funds to other accounts whether under your name or another member's name.
5. Print a copy of your statement.
6. Check Loan Status and Tax Information.
7. Pay Bills through our Bill Payer Service

Currently, you may perform the following operations on our On-Line Banking system for a small service charge:
1. Stop payment on a share draft prior to payment ($15.00 per stop pay).
2. Place an order for share drafts (checks) - (cost of the actual check blanks).
 

Bill Paying Service:
Our Bill Paying service allows you to pay your bills directly from your computer without having to write or send checks.  To enter the Bill Paying service, click on "Pay Bills" at the top of your screen.
1. If any transaction is rejected due to non-sufficient funds (NSF), your account will be charged our current overdraft fee of $20.00 per draft.
2. Payments made via our Bill Pay service may take up to 7 business days to reach a verified payee or vendor.
3. Please verify all information entered for your payees including addresses and reference numbers.

Bear Paw Credit Union is not liable in any way for damages you incur if:
- You do not have sufficient funds in your account.
- You incorrectly enter the reference number to be credited by the merchant.
- You incorrectly schedule the payment (7 business days prior to due date for check payments).

Unauthorized Account Usage:
Keeping your password confidential is your responsibility.  If you authorize other persons to use your password to gain access to your credit union account, you are authorizing any transactions they conduct in that account.

If you believe anyone has gained access to either your password or account through On-Line Banking without your permission, change your password immediately.  Then call us at 406-265-9626 or 1-800-406-2642.
